Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has taken to social media with thankful message as he prepares for a very major personal milestone.

The actor, who is famed for playing David Platt in the ITV soap, is set to tie the knot this weekend with fiancee Hanni Treweek, a year on from getting engaged on a dream holiday.

The couple are thought to have met through work, as she was a storyliner on Coronation Street from 2018 until 2020. She also used to work as the programme’s researcher.

Several years have since passed by and Jack and Hanni confirmed their engagement last year, after Jack popped the question on a dream safari holiday.

At the end of their trip to Tanzania, Hanni took to social media to reveal that Jack had popped the question and that she agreed to marry him. It was then in October 2024 that Jack and Hanni revealed that they’d set a date for their special day.

He shared a look at their gorgeous ‘save the dates’ that will be sent out to their nearest and dearest. “26th July 2025 we become Mr & Mrs Shepherd!!” Hanni wrote alongside the post which Jack also posted to his Instagram Story.

With the big day almost here, Jack took to social media to share a message of thanks to the team who have helped him and Hanni plan their special day.

The soap star wrote on Instagram on Thursday (July 24): “The A team, @taylorlynncorp me and @hannitreweek are so grateful. everything has come together and it’s looking like it’s gonna be amazing!

“We couldn’t have done it without you guys. Best in the biz. Thank you thank you thank you.” Hanni was also quick to respond, as she wrote in the comments section: “DREAM TEAM!”

Messages of love and support also came flooding in, with Jack’s former on-screen wife Paula Lane, who played Kylie Platt in the ITV soap, sharing: “Wishing you both the most magical of days.”
