Coronation Street’s very own Nina Lucas, portrayed by Mollie Gallagher, has shed some light on her latest gripping plot twist.
This week on the cobbles saw Aadi Alahan stir up a bit of midsummer madness with his party plan, which quickly descended into chaos when Brody Michaelis rocked up aiming to sell some LSD for a quick profit.
Aadi swiftly booted Brody out and seized the narcotics, and then floated the idea of trying LSD with pals Nina and Summer Spellman.
Embarking on a brazen adventure after Summer recalled her past experience with the drug in America, the friends decided to take the drug – but Aadi got sidetracked, leading to a mix-up.
Both Summer and Nina ended up taking LSD, while an unsuspecting Lauren Bolton accidentally consumed it too, resulting in her harrowing hallucinations featuring the deceased tormentor Joel Deering, with actor Calum Lill returning especially for these scenes, reports Leicestershire Live.
Caught in a twisted high, Nina and Summer found themselves trapped in the dark café, weeping and shaken to their core.
A tormented Summer exclaimed, “Oh God, oh God, oh God!” while an anguished Nina posed the question: “Do you think we should go back? You saw what happened!”.
But Summer vehemently disagreed, stating firmly: “No, Nina, we can’t. Listen to me, I don’t know what… but we 100% cannot go back!”.
Clasping each other in fear, Nina echoed Summer’s despair with her own cry of “Oh God!”, leaving fans to grapple with the aftermath of their terrifying ordeal.
Following the episode, Mollie, 27, who plays Nina, took to Instagram to share a clip of the distressing scene, captioning it: “Oh no Nina and Summer xoxo”. Harriet Bibby, who portrays Summer, also chimed in on the video shared by Corrie’s official Instagram with a simple: “Uh oh.”
In Wednesday’s instalment, Summer and Nina revisit their actions from the previous night in search of clarity. Later, they deliberate over the unsettling incident they witnessed at the party, concluding that their best course of action is to remain silent.
By Friday, Nina confides in Roy Cropper about her use of hallucinogenic substances at the party, sharing what fragments of memory she can recall. Roy, in response, encourages her to report her experiences to the police.
Next week’s spoilers hint at more revelations, as it emerges that Nina and Summer feel they’ve had a narrow escape. But what exactly have they been up to
