Sister Wives fame, Gwendlyn Brown, in a recent interview with Teen Vogue, revealed that her parents’ divorce was inevitable. Her parents, Kody Brown and Christine, have been in a polygamous marriage for over two decades. Kody was first married to Meri, then to Janelle, and then to Christine. He finally married his favorite wife, Robyn, in 2010. Since then, the entire family dynamic has changed. Christine often complained that she felt like a basement wife in the marriage.

This is the worst that can happen to someone in polygamy. The situation wasn’t over the pandemic, so she was fed up with everything. She decided to leave. Christine divorced in 2021 and has been happily living her life since then. The couple shared six kids. However, her parents’ divorce was not one of them. Gwen further explained to the outlet that her parents would have divorced, even if the Sister Wives camera were not rolling. She also shared that ever since she was a little kid, she had always wanted her parents to separate.

Nothing in that marriage was normal, and it always felt like a nightmare. There had been tension in the marriage since the early days. Christine while separating, explained that their marriage was not working anymore. Kody was not prioritizing or even looking after the kids; there was a lack of sex, and she wanted to move back to Utah. Christine noted that Ysabel’s scoliosis surgery was a turning point for her.

Kody never acted like a father, and it broke her heart. She was no longer interested in polygamy, so she later decided to get married to David. Christine and David met on a dating app and instantly connected. After over a year of dating, they soon got married, and now they are happily together and prospering in their rental business.
