Coronation Street has confirmed Sam Blakeman’s sinister revenge plan as Lily Platt is left terrified.
The soap has been exploring an emotional new storyline for the youngster, as painful memories of his mum’s murder have resurfaced after he was locked out of the classroom by Lily during Mick Michaelis’s recent rampage.
Amid his trauma, scenes this week see Sam panic and slip away during Audrey Roberts’s birthday party.
Feeling guilty, David and Shona tell daughter Lily that she needs to apologise over her actions towards Sam, though Lily shocks everyone by admitting that she locked Sam out on purpose.
“Sam’s fuming, as he’d assumed that her actions were in self-defence and purely innocent, despite being traumatising for him,” our Corrie source previously revealed. “It leaves the family questioning Lily’s motives – did she want Sam to get hurt, or even worse, killed?”

In follow-on scenes airing next week, Lily and Sam go to Eco Club, and Nick and Toyah are relieved that the two have seemingly put everything behind them.
Sam scoffs at Lily’s poster, and tells her that there have been a spate of burglaries in the area, warning her that burglars tend to move furniture around.

When she returns home, Lily is shocked to find the door open and the furniture moved, just as Sam suggested, and she screams in fear.
Was this his doing in revenge?
Later on, Sam speaks to Toyah about the anxiety and panic attacks that he has been suffering.
