Coronation Street stalwart Jack P Shepherd is set to finally get his real life happy ending today – as he is due to marry Hanni Treweek in a romantic ceremony.
The David Platt actor, 37, and wife-to-be Hanni, 36, are preparing to exchange vows in Manchester later this afternoon, just over one year after the Celebrity Big Brother winner popped the question while on safari in Tanzania, Africa.

Soap stars, friends and family are expected to flock to Manchester Cathedral today.
It was previously reported Jack had taken up the offer of appearing on Celebrity Big Brother to help pay for the big day and it’s now been claimed there has been ‘no expense spared’ as the pair have splashed the cash on their big day.
They enlisted events planning company Taylor Lynn Coporation to help bring their dream to life and the couple have spent months planning each and every detail from the guestlist, to the wine and even what fragrances they will wear on the big day!

Groom steps out on the town with Corrie pals – despite stag go snub
Jack has been snapped hitting the town with his Coronation Street pals Colson Smith and Ben Price the night before his wedding, despite previously insisting he didn’t want a stag do.
The groom looked dapper in a white shirt, which he wore open at the top, and black trousers and laughed along with pals Colson and Ben as they walked down a Manchester street.

Jack and Hanni gush over ‘dream team’ wedding planners
Ahead of their big day, the soon-to-be newlyweds have piled on the praise for their wedding planners, who they have called a “dream team”.
The couple enlisted the help of events specialists Taylor Lynn Corporation to help them plan their big day and gushed over the events specialists before the day began.
Sharing a photo of the group who helped them bring their vision to life for the big day, Jack gushed in the caption: “The A team, @taylorlynncorp me and @hannitreweek are so grateful. everything has come together and it’s looking like it’s gonna be amazing! We couldn’t have done it without you guys. Best in the biz. Thank you thank you thank you.”
Hanni then replied to the post with: “DREAM TEAM!”

Bride checks into lavish hotel ahead of nuptials
As the countdown is officially on for Jack and Hanni to walk down the aisle, the Corrie star’s fiancée shared an update with fans on her Instagram story.
She excitedly posted snaps of her three matching suitcases stood inside a stunning wood pannelled hotel room – with a bathroom spotted in the background.
As Hanni shared the update with fans, she announced in writing: “the bride has checked in” followed by a white heart emoji.
Hanni’s ‘non hen do’ celebration
The Corrie star’s fiancée insisted her celebrations with friends two weeks before her wedding was ‘not a hen party’ as she posted snaps of the special day.
In the photos, Hanni looks gorgeous in a figure-hugging, long-sleeved white lace dress as she held onto a stunning rectangle pearlescent clutch bag with the words “Wifey For Lifey” etched in glittery gold font.

Jack’s stag snub and Colson Smith clash
The couple decided to buck the trend when it comes to traditional stag and hen parties. In January this year, Jack revealed he doesn’t want a stag do.
He previously admitted: “No, I don’t like the idea of going on a stag do where someone just takes the p*** out of you all weekend and you’re the butt of every joke and you have to dress up like a f***ing baby.”
However, he later clashed with his soap pal Colson Smith, who recently left Coronation Street after playing Craig Tinker.
Speaking on their On the Sofa podcast, Colson revealed he had been planning a celebration for Jack. He said: “There is something that I need to broach with you on this subject and I don’t quite know when the right time to do this is.”
The Craig Tinker star went on: “Now is the right time, but you’re very very against it. But I just need to tell you that it’s happening, that there is a small group of us, which is only four people and then including yourself, that’s five, but we have to tell you now that you are having a stag do.”
As Jack claimed he hadn’t been told, Colson reminded him of their discussion in the gym, asserting that they’d had a meeting, to which Jack firmly denied, adding they didn’t have a “f*****g meeting”. But Colson tried to reassure his mate that the celebration would be a low-key affair after Jack reluctantly suggested that they could “go for a bit of food and then go out”.

Jack’s romantic proposal to Hanni
In June last year, the couple announced they were engaged while on holiday in Zanzibar with a romantic post on Instagram. The couple shared two loved-up selfies to announce the news; the first sees Jack and Hanni wearing matching beige linen shirts as they share a sweet kiss, while the second sees them smiling as they look at the camera.
Hanni’s dazzling ring is in full view as it consists of a single oval stone on a thin gold band.
In the caption of the post, Hanni shared their exciting news. She gushed in the caption: “05.06.24 I said YES to forever!!!” Followed by a ring emoji, heart eye emoji, the Zanzibar flag emoji, an elephant emoji, a tent emoji and, finally, the sun emoji.
