On Monday’s episode of General Hospital, several residents finds themselves at crossroads and one in instant peril, as Thanksgiving continues in Port Charles.
In touching scenes played by Eden McCoy (Josslyn) and Garren Stitt (Oscar), Josslyn confronts Oscar that she knows he is sick. Oscar is furious with Cameron for telling her. Josslyn is saddened that he pushed her away, saying they will fight this together. He reveals to her that he has an inoperable brain tumor and will die and has but a year to live. Oscar does tell her about the drug trial that could save his life, but he won’t to it, because of the potential side effects that could wrong with it, and that he wants to live out what time he has on his terms.
Laura (Genie Francis) walks in on who she believes is her husband, Kevin, but it’s Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) in a big smooch with Ava Jerome (Maura West). Ryan tells Laura their marriage is over. A shocked and devastated Laura tells him the fact that he is with a woman who sold out her son, makes this the ultimate betrayal. She rips up Ava’s donation to her mayoral campaign, which is why she came to the Jerome gallery in the first place, and walked in on the lip-lock. Laura also tells Ryan she see’s nothing behind his eyes anymore that remotely reminds her of the Kevin she married. Can Laura figure this out?
After Laura leaves, Ryan and Ava admit they enjoyed that kiss . Ava suggests they spend Thanksgiving together. Ryan reveals he is so glad she didn’t leave town. However, Ava says she still may have to leave Port Charles, because she can’t stand to be in the same town with Kiki. When Ava suggests they go to her place, Ryan offers to meet her there because he has some business to take care of, first.
Griffin (Matt Cohen) and Kiki (Hayley Erin) are late to Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Jordan’s (Briana Nicole Henry) wedding, after they decide to undress (after they get dressed to the nines for the nuptials) and have sex. After they make love, Griffin gets a call from Monica (Leslie Charleson) saying that the boards results are in as to if he has been reinstated at the hospital. Those results are at GH, and he should pick them up there. Since they are late for the wedding, Griffin heads out to the hospital, while Kiki gets ready to head to the wedding and meet him there.
At the Q’s Thanksgiving celebration, Kim (Tamara Braun) tells Julian (William deVry) that she wants his goons to kidnap Oscar if he wins his emancipation trial from his parents, and take him to Brazil for the treatment that will save his life. Drew (Billy Miller) overhears this and is enraged that she would do such a thing to their son.
Curtis and Jordan are now getting ready to say their “I do’s” when the minister asks if there is anyone that has just cause that the duo should not be wed in holy matrimony. Cue, Stella (Vernee Watson) who walks in looking very unhappy. Will she unravel the wedding … or sit down and be a part of the celebration after getting some words of wisdom from Mike (Max Gail)?
At the end of the episode, we come upon a few key moments: Oscar shows up at the Q’s door as his parents Drew and Kim are thrilled to see him, Josslyn comes home to the Corinthos’ and drops to the floor in tears over Oscar, and Ryan shows up at Kiki’s door, just as she is heading out for the wedding, and it looks like he has murder on his mind.
So, is this the end of the road for Kiki? Will Stella stand down or bust up the nuptials? Will Oscar have the treatment to try to save his life? What should Laura’s next move be? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
