Corrie’s Elle Mulvaney, known for her role as Amy Barlow, has sparked romance rumours after posting a sweet snap with a mystery man while on a dreamy holiday in Crete. The Coronation Street star shared a series of photos on her Instagram from her Grecian getaway, including a cute picture where she’s seen holding hands with her new love interest, walking away from the lens.

Elle, who reportedly parted ways with Waterloo Road actor Liam Scholes last May following a two-year relationship, looked stunning as she strutted down a quaint street in a chic white bandeau dress, perfectly paired with matching accessories. She kept the caption simple with just the Greek flag, a white heart, and ocean wave emojis.

But her followers, including former Corrie co-star Jack James Ryan, were quick to shower her with compliments. Ryan teased with a comment that reads: “soft launch.”

Others like @caithartley__ exclaimed: “Love this!!!!” Another comment from @shannon_atlanta_xx praised the couple. Her reply reads: “Gorgeous.”

British Soap Awards winner Elle has been a staple on Coronation Street since 2010. Amber Chadwick had previously played the role, but Elle was cast in 2010 to fit with a storyline return of Amy Barlow’s mother.

A statement at the time confirmed: “Amy has some big storylines coming up so we decided to recast an older child who could play younger.

“This is common practice. For example, Alex Bain is two years older than Simon is on screen.”

Elle has been involved in a series of high-profile storylines throughout her 15 years performing on Coronation Street, including an apartment fire in 2015.

She picked up her first awards win in 2017 after she was nominated for Best Young Actress at the British Soap Awards. She was nominated again in 2019, and longlisted in 2023.
