Coronation Street fans are convinced theyâve worked out a characterâs dramatic return after 13 years, as part of Aadi Alahanâs departure storyline.
Adam Hussain stepped into the role of Aadi in 2020, taking over from Zennon Ditchett who previously brought the character to life.
Aadi and his twin sister, Asha (Tanisha Gorey), grew up in Bramhall before their move to Weatherfield, following their parents Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) and Sunita (Shobna Gulati) getting back together.
Tragically, their mum passed away in 2013, leaving Dev to raise the twins on his own, with Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) stepping in as their nanny.
In April, Aadi actor Adam announced his departure from the cobbles after a five-year stint. He is set to remain on screen until the end of summer, reports Leicestershire Live.
âI guess the secretâs out now! As some of you may have heard, I will be leaving Coronation Street for new pastures,â Adam previously wrote on Instagram.
âOver the five years Iâve spent there, I have learned so much about the world and the industry and now feel I am ready to spread my wings a little.â
He continued: âI have made friends that will last a lifetime and will surely miss such a special family! This isnât a farewell for Aadi, however, more like a see you later! Iâm excited to see what the future brings!
âThank you @coronationstreet @itv for giving me such a privilege of portraying this character for you. Until next time!â
Ahead of his departure, Aadi has recently been entangled in a dark new drug storyline with disastrous outcomes.
On Monday (June 23), Aadi hosted a midsummer party at number seven, which rapidly spiralled out of control.
Aadi was left seething when Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) brought LSD to the party and attempted to sell it to the guests.
After getting Brody to leave, Aadi intended to divide the drugs amongst himself, Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) and Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby).
However, Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) accidentally consumed Aadiâs cup containing the drugs, causing her to hallucinate her deceased abuser Joel Deering (Calum Lill).
Meanwhile, Nina and Summer exited the party when Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) arrived, with the pair later turning up at the cafeĚ in tears.
Now, several Coronation Street viewers believe that Aadiâs long-lost sister, Amber Kalirai (Nikki Patel), could make a comeback to the cobbles in forthcoming scenes.
Soap fans will recall that Amber is Devâs other daughter, who was born from an affair he had with one of his shop employees, Ravinder (Mina Anwar).
Amber departed for university in 2009 but returned in 2011 after failing her exams. After repeatedly butting heads with her stepmother, Sunita, Amber left the street again in 2012.
âWho wants Amber to return to the cobbles in the aftermath of the drug storyline?! As we know Aadi is leaving the show, and it would be great for Asha to get to know her half sibling. Plus, it would be good to have an insight into what Amberâs been up to since leaving the cobbles in 2012,â one person wrote on a Facebook fan page.
Another chimed in: âOmg yes! I hope they bring her back,â while a third echoed: âYes Amber was a brilliant character, would be great if she came back.â
