Hochman’s acting career first began in 2015, at the age of 23, with a few minor parts on-screen and featured performances in several short films, but it wasn’t until his starring role on Broadway in 2019 that he made a name for himself.
Over the next few years, Hochman booked minor roles in Lowlives (2017), Paterno (2018) and The Code (2019), all of which was followed by The Sound Inside.
“It was like lightning hit my tiny little apartment. It was the style of writing, it was the way that Mary Louise’s character was describing my character, it was the questions the story was asking, the relationship, I just got all of it,” Hochman explained of the show. “I read this thing and thought, ‘This is the moment. This is my part.’ I’d never felt that before.”
