The emotional moment came during the latest Sister Wives: One-on-One special, where Cody dropped his usual defensive stance and exposed the raw truth about the fractured relationships with his children. With 18 kids across four wives, Cody’s role as patriarch has been under scrutiny for years. But this time, he didn’t deflect. Instead, he faced the camera and said the unthinkable: “I’m not really a father to most of them. Not in the way they deserved.”

This startling admission came after years of speculation. Fans had long noticed Cody’s preference for Robyn and her children, leaving his other kids emotionally abandoned. His relationships with Janelle and Christine’s children, in particular, had soured. Garrison and Gabriel, Janelle’s sons, had spoken openly about feeling unwanted. Garrison, who tragically passed away in 2024, once said Cody only cared about kids living under Robyn’s roof. Gabriel recalled crying on camera when Cody forgot his birthday.
